We completed a groundwater survey in Aug 2015. Hansen Drilling drilled the well in Oct 2015. Our client had an existing low yield well and needed a replacement. The best site was site 5 which had a yield estimate of low 2-6gpm and a maximum drill depth of 235 feet. The driller drilled to 282 feet but reported encountering water at 265 feet (within our stated 20% margin) and reported the yield at 8gpm. The well appears to have been properly screened and a coarse sand pack was used.

Groundwater exploration surveys in Orting Washington

An exceptionally tough area to collect seismoelectric data in today!

Two roto hammer drill bits got stuck in clay and a 6 sounding survey which usually takes 1.5 to 2 hrs to complete took a little over 5 hrs.

Doesn't happen often but once in a great while the earths conditions rule....

PL14 oil exploration technology confirmed by successful drilling/productive oil well

Attached is an image from a successful #oil #well drilled to approximately 2000 feet with the #pay zone confirmed with the PL14 after indicators were seen in a #seismic reflection study.

Groundwater exploration in Lockwood California...where sadly the drought reigns

Lockwood California is in southern Monterey County, it's a small town consisting of farms, ranches & vineyards.

This is where Jacob & Aaron from our NW office crew is conducting Seismoelectric groundwater surveys today. 

They will complete 12-14 individual soundings, covering a few  acres of agricultural land on a vineyard and will take them about 3 hours to accomplish the job. 

A final report will go to the client after the geophysicist review, on average this takes 10-15 business days and it will inform our client of the aquifer depth, yield and thickness before drilling begins. 

This allows the client to prepare for well water costs to the best of his/her ability.
